
Dr Joseph Seritsane is a highly skilled and specially trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with vast experience in spinal care. Dr Seritsane attained his MBBCh Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and completed his internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, where he received an Intern of the Year award at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. He went on to pass all examinations required in surgery and orthopaedic surgery through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa to become a qualified orthopaedic surgeon. His belief in community service is a cornerstone of his practice, as he has volunteered for various outreach programs in orthopaedics within the Limpopo Province during his orthopaedic training. He received his Fellowship from the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa and obtained his Master’s Degree (MMed) in Orthopaedics from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU).

Dr Joseph Seritsane has accumulated valuable expertise and in-depth knowledge in spine surgery as a long-term AO Spine Fellow at the University of Cape Town (UCT) with experience in the public and private sectors under the mentorship of esteemed spine surgeon Professor Robert Dunn. He has dealt with complex spine pathologies and has worked with many patients in this area.
Dr Joseph Seritsane’s experience and exposure to different working climates have shaped him into the esteemed surgeon he is today. His diligence, drive, and determination are evident in his work, as he always strives to reach his goals and meet all his patients’ needs.
